We started the proprietary firm PRATHAMA (in the process of becoming a Pvt Ltd. Company) in 2010. Our aim has been to innovate and develop products which will help organisations and individuals effectively and aesthetically achieve acoustically enhanced areas for their use.

Based in Vasai – Industrial suburb of Mumbai, established in the year 2010, Prathama is engaged in Manufacturing, Trading and Installation of PRESA range of Fabric Stretch Systems. We believe that we offer the best systems in India designed to be used in Acoustic Wall Panelling and Fabric panelling.

The best way of efficiently providing acoustical treatment to almost any room has been by using fibrous material that absorb sound and cover them with fabrics. After the advent of MULTIPLEXES in India the requirement of Profiles to hold fabrics peaked and the search to bring down the prices lead to the influx of cheap fabric profiles. Unfortunately indigenisation of the profiles lead to them getting cheaper by decreasing the height of the profile and/or the thickness of the profiles which affected the ability of the profile to hold the fabrics.

We understand the needs of profiles that are designed for fabric panelling and have been designing profiles that address those needs. Profiles that are used for fabric panelling need to be able to counter the various strains that fabrics put on them, like fabric contraction and expansion due to temperature and humidity variation, Fabric weight, Pull of Gravity etc. (This can be covered in detail later) and need to be able to address these issues.

We understood that the basic design of the profile needed change and incorporated designs which allows maximum strength at the right thickness. We have thus been able to develop profiles that not only hold the fabric but retain them too.

Continuous R & D by our firm has lend us the ability to develop profiles with different system depths and aesthetic looks, like ‘Eco’ & ‘SL’ for butt joints, ‘VG’ for ½” deep V-groove, LD1318 for ¼” level difference. There are profiles that are still being designed and some are being tested. We are presently testing profiles to be used for customised panel sizes that will allow individual panel de-mount, and fabric change without disturbing or changing the Acoustical core. Most of our customers have appreciated the quality of the profiles and have been repeat users.

Not only do we develop profiles we also design and develop tools that will used to tuck the fabric into the profiles.
